37 Choir students ‘Superior’ at Solo and Ensemble Contest

Thursday, February 23, 42 choir students participated in the BISD Solo and Ensemble contest at Richland High School.  These students each prepared a solo with private voice teacher, Shirley Johnson, and performed them for a judge and for a rating.  Of the 42, 37 students received a Superior rating, five students received an Excellent rating, and both ensembles received a Superior rating.

Of the 37 that received a division I rating, seven of them were recognized as Outstanding Performers: Aaron McBride, Brady Loomer, Genesis Barragan, Miranda Garcia, Kelley Nguyen, Steven Nguyen and Sydney Anderson.
